The Quality Assurance Approach:
Quality assurance activities are designed "to enable a client to place an order with ease of mind, to remain both reassured and satisfied throughout the many stages from planning to completion and finally to take delivery of a work of guaranteed quality in which he or she can take pride." In order to achieve this goal, we have stipulated the "Job-specific Quality Assurance System" as a framework that indicates the procedures for quality assurance activities targeting individual works, and we are promoting the utilization of the framework.
Against the background of internationalization of quality control with the implementation of ISO international standards, Takenaka has been obtaining 9001, 9002 and 14001 certification in its main offices and branch offices throughout Japan, overseas subsidiaries and its Engineering Division. We have integrated the two by incorporating the excellent aspects of ISO into our quality assurance system.
Customer-oriented CS activities are what Takenaka's vision management strives towards. In response to the rapidly changing environment that surrounds businesses today, a structure that can respond accurately to the needs of customers in practicing CS activities, in terms of Q (Quality), C (Cost), D (Delivery), S (Safety) and E (Environment) is essential. TQM activities are an effective means of developing, maintaining and improving CS activities, and Takenaka is utilizing a variety of different methods in our commitment to TQM.
