Dojima Crosswalk
Dojima Crosswalk is the life convenience center in "Hotarumachi" (or "Firefly Town"), which is a redevelopment district on the grounds of the former Osaka University Hospital, along the Dojima river, facing Nakanoshima in Osaka. The center contains a variety of facilities, including a supermarket, eating and drinking establishments, a fitness club, a clinic mall, and a day-care center for children. The simple design of the exterior enables the building to be in harmony with the city landscape. In order to respond to the large architecture in the surrounding area, the building is composed of the horizontal lines of the glass windows and the RC pent-roofs, and the vertical lines of RC colonnades and the RC walls. Also, the feeling of the scale of the area has been softened through the conscious selection the human scale parts such as the hand rails, the floor patterns, the wall textures, and the lighting.

Okasan Securities Yokkaichi Building
This project entailed the reconstruction of the Yokkaichi Branch of Okasan Securities. The new building consists of a sales counter area for ordinary clients, a VIP floor, a seminar room, and offices. The use of glass curtain walls and vertical stone mullions for the exterior of the building front facing National Route 1 gives a solid and progressive expression befitting the Okasan Securities corporate image. The stone mullions are supported by supporting materials that penetrate the glass curtain walls, and this high level of technology realizes a strong expression of independence. The work space is fitted out with the latest office functions, ensuring an environment with a high level of amenities.

TRUSCO Nakayama Akita Branch
This is the Akita Branch of TRUSCO Nakayama, a company with branches throughout Japan, specializing in the wholesale of tools and equipment, and work supplies. With dispatch and delivery functions, this branch is designed to cover the Akita area. Situated on National Route 13 near the Sea of Japan, taking a lesson from the snowsheds used by the residents of this severe winter area, a concrete wall has been installed along the northwest side to block snowstorms. Designed using the corporate colors of black, orange and green with the corporate logo cut out in white, this gate wall gives the feeling of strength. The unique shape of the silver box-looking main building actually intersects with the gate wall, designed so both the gate wall and the building act as a single sign to drivers passing by at high speeds.

Sansei Yusoki Kobe Branch
This branch building has been constructed in an industrial park in the hills of Mount Rokko, with the objective of enhancing competitiveness through the consolidation of the production department and the design development department. With the design concepts of "compact, clean and flexible," the wings are organically laid out according to the different functions. The exterior is designed on the contrast between the different metal sheets, glass walls, and a large pent-roof, creating a façade with deep shades and shadows. Natural light flows into the building through top lights and slit windows, realizing a comfortable work environment. The office wing has been designed to be a space promoting intermingling between the workers in "the discussion space in the large room and in the daily passages where eye contact is made."

Tokyo University of Science, Oshamambe Campus Women's Dormitory
This new dormitory has been constructed to accommodate 96 female students along with an increase in the number of students taken in by the Faculty of Industrial Science and Technology. A cluster system (16 people = 1 unit) has been introduced as the foundation for holistic general education. Situated in the hills between the sea and the mountains, the building consists of a 100-meter long gently curving wall which gives protection against the winds from the mountains (northwest) during the winter season, and allows in the winds from the sea (southeast) during the summer season, with rows of rectangular dormitory rooms overlooking the sea. Vertically long slits have been bored into the curving wall to respond to the ridge lines of the hills. Also, energy-conservation measures have been designed, such as temperature control by using floor heaters and panel heaters separately between the common areas and the dormitory rooms, and the effective use of geo-heat with natural ventilation and heating and cooling tubes.

Atami Golf Club Resort and Spa
This project entailed the reconstruction of the club house of this golf club, which has a history of 70 years, and the new construction of a member-system hotel. It was decided to complete the construction in stages, while observing the legal requirements and continuing operation of the golf course. The composition of the buildings was then decided upon with these conditions. While making the most of the hillside location with sweeping views of Atami Bay, the various buildings were laid out with a good balance between the direction the buildings faced and the distance between buildings. The exterior is composed of stoneware-tile walls and glass, emphasizing a horizontal silhouette as if connecting the sea, the earth, and the air. In order to harmonize with the surrounding area and the exterior appearance, a serene color scheme with a Japanese taste has been used for the interior.
