INNATUS Head Office Building
 |
This project involved the construction of a new head office building and residential complex in commemoration of the 20th year since the foundation of this cosmetics sales company. The corporate logo has been used as the motif in the façde design, which is composed of aluminum punching screens with slits, and which strikes a balance between control of the view and the line of sight, and a light environment. Void slabs and suspended steel pipe columns have been architecturally combined in the RC structure, realizing a 10.5 by 12.5-meter column-less office area with a flat ceiling. Four-point-five-meter SRC cantilevers in the first floor support the four levels above, securing parking space for three cars.

SENSHUKAI New Head Office Building
 |
This project involved the construction of a new head office building for Senshukai, a mail-order company targeting mainly women. With the image of the company's main brand, "Belle Maison" (beautiful house), the exterior is composed of 60-square-millimeter ceramic louvers. The abstract silhouette of the "maison" from a distance transforms into a soft, glowing silhouette as you come closer, designed to connect to the real image of the building. A light, abstract painting-like façde with the feeling of transparency has been created.

Nihombashi Front
 |
This tenant office building is located on Nihombashi Chuo-dori Avenue. Capacity and height restrictions were relaxed for this redevelopment project, and the building holds eating and drinking establishments on the below ground floors, financial and securities-related offices on the lower floors, and the head office of a major cosmetics company on the higher floors. The standard floor, with 20.9-meter large-span columnless space and single-side core plan, provides high flexibility, and interior comfort has further been increased with sunshine flowing in even from the core side. Natural ventilation is carried out in the stairways and light well voids, and automatic fresh air intake ducts have been installed in the exterior facing. By separating the core from the exterior facing, an opening has been made around the entire building, and by using sashless PC horizontal continuous windows, a façde has been realized where the glass curtain walls transform into horizontal continuous windows. A new cityscape has been created while preserving the memories of this area by using black natural stone for the low sections.

MIKAGE CLASSE
 |
The theme behind the development of this commercial facility was to create space for people to gather, in front of the station which is located in the center of the local area between Osaka and Kobe, in a rich, natural environment. Centering on a department store, the facility provides a space for people to gather, consisting of retail shops, eating and drinking establishments and halls. A large eave covers the 1,000 square-meter plaza and grand staircase. As well as being the venue for commercial events, each spring 11 floats participate in a performance as part of the local Danjiri Festival. An emergency reserve warehouse has been constructed nearby, so the facility can operate as a disaster preparedness center during any natural disasters. Some public art by an artist in the Kobe sister city of Barcelona decorates the streets, giving a feeling of elation.

MOVIE ON Yamagata
 |
Located in the suburbs of Yamagata City, this cinema complex was developed with the collaboration of world-renowned industrial designer Kiyoyuki Okuyama, who is from the local area. With the aim of creating a new environment fusing the unique local culture and modern feelings, traditions have been expressed in a modern space, through plaster finishing of the warehouse and the recycling of old materials from traditional private dwellings. With the exterior appearance, in order to respond to the mountain ranges, each cinema forms its own cubed shape. Orange Carthamus tinctorius (safflower), the prefectural flower, decorates the center of the exterior walls, and LEDs illuminate the deep blue color of the wall surfaces. The pattern of the LEDs changes each season to reflect the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area.

Daikin Ales Aoya

This project involved the construction of a seafront training center with guesthouse and recreational functions, in front of Idegahama beach in Tottori Prefecture. In order to harmonize with the natural environmental elements such as "musical sand" and the "blue sea," the plane of the building and the roof have been given gentle shapes to suggest wind ripples of the beach. Inside, the training, accommodation and entrance areas have been given unique zone blocks, and have been laid out to blend in with the landscape, so in each space it is possible to "converse with the sea." With a group-controlled central hot water supply system with a variable flow water-cooling air-conditioning system using a 1,200 ton-water thermal storage tank and domestic heat pump hot water supply equipment, the facility has been designed to conserve energy.
