The first floor contains the lobby and a restaurant, and the second to ninth floors contain 123 guest rooms. With the theme of Kanazawa-style "andon" Japanese lamps to express the characteristics of Kanazawa, "soft lighting" is used throughout the hotel scene, from the façade to the lobby, and all the way to the guest rooms. The guest room corridor "andon" lighting was created by Koji Shibazaki, Associate Professor of Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music. URBANPREM Hakata
This private office and retail store complex faces the Nakagawa River at the northern tip of the "Nakasu" buffer zone between Hakata and Fukuoka, two cities that have flourished together. The wave forms of the river surface, Hakata-ori textile patterns, and the latticework of traditional merchant homes were chosen as the motifs for the facade. A unique and fascinating office building has been realized by blending and restructuring traditional and innovative elements in a minimal and modern fashion.

Sendai Chuo Dai-ichi Seimei Building
This rental office building, with retail stores on the first floor and offices in the second to seventh floors is located in the center of Sendai City. The aim was to reduce the load on the environment while forming a comfortable office environment in this cold region. The use of flat slabs and flat beams in this base-isolated frame structure has created an opened-up inside space, and with just a suitable amount of earthquake-resistant exterior walls, the heat loss during winter is kept to a minimum. The sculptured exterior with outside pilasters cut the amount of direct sunshine on the building, and inside there are no column shapes around the window areas. The openings have been designed so they can be opened and closed, allowing for natural ventilation.

Kiyoshi Kojin Seichoji Temple Museum
This project entailed the construction of a museum for "Kiyoshi Kojin Seichoji Temple," which has a history of some 1,100 years. To harmonize with the traditional landscape of the temple grounds, the exterior appearance has a hipped roof protruding up and layered with plain and concave tiles. The eaves, which have been kept at a low height, spread out widely from the museum walls without any columns. The corridor that winds around under the eaves has been designed with highly-transparent glass screens. The temperature, humidity and the lighting environment of the display rooms nested inside the corridor can be controlled 24 hours a day, protecting the items on display from the outside environment. 500-Year Concrete has been used for the structural frame, designed to extend the life of the building.
