During transportation and conservation work, the utmost care was taken to prevent any force from acting on the monument.
【1】 Protection of the monument

【3】 The space between the monument and the protective steel frames is filled with cushions of urethane foam


【4】 The monument is transported to the work yard, and brought down on its face.The old steel support frames are removed

【8】 The monument is brought back into an upright position and moved onto the isolation basement
