The eaves of the low, horseshoe-shaped bus rotary and the promenade and garden that provide a buffer between the building and the residential area are designed to make the large building volume melt into the surrounding environment. In the entrance hall that faces the garden of the low two-story atrium, the closed wall surface with random-protted-windows contrasts with the wide opening at foot level that stretches for 70 meters, and this provides continuity with the garden while also ensuring privacy with respect to the surrounding residences. The hospital ward and treatment building that has deep apertures chiseled into the massive building protects patients from the traffic noise on the Ring Road No. 7 side and creates a bright, open convalescent environment.
