The inclined roofs and undulating landscape combine to create an interior space that is protected from the outside environment. The gabled roof volume is divided into three parts by function, with the buildings separated by three inner courtyards. This creates different relationships between the interior space and each of the inner courtyards. Patients are able to view the inner courtyards and experience the spatial changes as they go from place to place as part of the examination program. The facility is designed to make the time spent listening to one’s own body a valuable experience.
