Works23通天閣の免震層は、公道の上約10mに設けた。復刻された天井絵を見上げると4基のオイルダンパーと補強の鉄骨梁が見える。タワー棟の重量約3,600tを4基の900mm角の天然ゴム系積層ゴム支承が支える。地震時には地下に設置した専用の地震感知システムが地震動の初期微動(P波)を感知することで、瞬時にロックが解放される。EV制御システムに組み込まれた地震感知計からの信号を並行して受信することにより、より確実に免震機能が作動するようにした。(松原 由典)The seismic isolation level in Tsutenkaki was placed at a point roughly 10m above the public street. Looking up at the restored ceiling paintings, one sees four oil dampers and steel reinforcing beams. The weight of the tower, approximately 3,600t, is supported by four 900mm square natural rubber laminated rubber bearings. In the event of an earthquake, the special earthquake detection system that has been provided underground detects the preliminary tremors of the earthquake ground motion (P-wave), and a lock is instantly released. The signal from the earthquake detector incorporated into the elevator control system is received concurrently, ensuring even greater reliability for the seismic isolation functions.
