The shops in the low-rise part are directly linked to the city streets, and are open to the city inviting people as a lively city dining area. The lobby space of the high-rise hotel has an open “City Lounge” designed as a place to enjoy Otsuka. The lattices of the interior that was designed on the motif of a “modern travellers’ inn” is coordinated with the multi-layer lattice of the external façade of precast concrete + glass, producing texture and shade both inside and outside and an impressive city landscape.
