A space with the feeling of sacred ground appropriate for a religious facility has been created while harmonizing with the nearby residential area. The approach raises the feeling of prayer by the variation of strong and weak natural light and control of the line of sight, the interior uses timber grown in Hokkaido, and with the lighting design combined with gentle natural light, a “simple north-country prayer house” has been realized.
