On the other hand, when the framework is formed with walls and floors only without providing boundary beams, the floor fails before the walls exhibit their load resistance. In this scheme steel reinforcement plates are provided at the joints between lateral diaphragm walls and floors to achieve a structure without hanging walls and breast walls. Also, in the two directions at corners the cantilevered floor panels are a double layer of a strong axis plate and a weak axis plate, and by adjusting thethickness of each layer the total thickness was reduced to the same as that of a normal floor panel. In addition, the construction procedures were precisely coordinated such as by counterboring and installing tensile bolts in advance so that the hardware fittings are accommodated using the gaps between the double layer floors and the double layer walls, so that none of the connection hardware is exposed internally on the exposed CLT, and flat slabs are achieved by a simple stacking composition of the floors and walls.
