Takenaka’s redevelopment technology was actively utilized with the aim of achieving sustainable residences. The residential building is arranged in an L-shape with an undulating green Grand Court of more than 2400 m2 provided adjacent to the lot on the north-east of the site. This Grand Court is a venue to generate interaction among the residents, and it is continued into the block as local courtyards. The west building is gently partitioned by lush plants and alcoves that form a path for the prevailing south wind, creating spaces where people can linger. The aim was to induce an interactive relationship between people, the buildings, and the locality through the medium of nature.
