Our plan was to maximize synergy by integrating the various offices in the existing factory, including design, in one place. We also wanted to create a new and vibrant image for Komatsu Germany as a company. The central atrium has two stairways connecting each floor from which people can see each other moving and activity in the building and creating an S-shape. Triple glass curtain walls and automatically controlled natural ventilation creates an airy bright, healthy atmosphere. From the outside, unique vertical windows impart a visual rhythm and strong contrast for vivid effect.
