This project consists of shops renovated under an elevated railway, a broad pedestrian path for ease of walking, and a light arcade over the pedestrian path. By configuring the whole with a feeling of unity while utilizing the individuality of each shop, an impression as though extended on the stage of a small theater is produced. The aim was to link the facilities scattered around the area using the building integrally with the pedestrian path, as a means of spreading pedestrian-focused places throughout all the Umeda area.
