As a result of repeated expansion on the site groups of classrooms are spread around forming a complex campus. Therefore, the two existing main buildings were integrally linked, in an effort to create the “heart of the school”, where the activities of pupils and teachers blend. In order to utilize the strengths of Nishiyama High School, which has a variety of learning courses, a place for pupils having diversity is created with a bright atrium space in the center, with the aim of producing common spaces that give rise to connections beyond the boundaries of classes, courses, and school year, when the pupils come out from the classrooms.
