A new outpatient building in which the whole hospital was taken to be urban space was realized by utilizing the city center site that can be accessed from multiple railway lines and that is surrounded by offices and restaurants. Spaces have been created where waiting time can be spent stress-free in various locations, through the use of ICT. The aim was to produce an urban-style university hospital outpatient building having the surrounding city streets linked to the inside and with the close relationship to the city expressed on its external appearance.
