The building owner has pride in their own technical capability, and it was a requirement that the expansion in scale should create a place where work could be carried out with ease. A 3-dimensional Voronoi geometry was adopted to create relationships that extend beyond the boundaries of departments, so the space was composed with multi-faceted connections, filled with bubbles that confront each other. The 3-dimensional Voronoi was incorporated as it is into the structural frame, with the columns, beams, seismic walls, and slabs produced in structural steel as much as possible.
