1716堀ビルの魅力を、創建時の重厚な意匠性と、想いの詰まった改修の痕跡に見出した。一方でシェアオフィスには現代的な機能性と人を惹きつける新たな軽やかさが必要と捉えた。元来の空間構成や上質な装飾そして個性的な改修跡を堀ビルが歩んできた歴史として可視化しながら、建物性能確保のための耐震補強やニューノーマルを意識した設備機器類を導入した。新たな家具や照明、素材や色はミニマルなデザインとし、軽快なアクセントとなるよう意図している。これらが生み出す既視感のない調和が新しい価値となり、堀ビルがイノベーションを起こすシェアワーカー達に選ばれ、未来へ引継がれることを望んでいる。(宮戸 明香）Works2階廊下右：設備配管が露出のまま。左：袖天井内に電気配線を隠しただけでなく既存格子を転用し新設照明とあわせ、新しくも馴染んだ雰囲気に再構築した。改修後14222222554466336622662222経年の個性と現代との調和Balancing historical maturity and modernityThe charms of Hori Building are to be found in the stately design from the time it was constructed, and the traces of the thoughtful modifications. On the other hand, shared offices require modern functionality and new lightness that people are attracted to.The history that Hori Building has passed through can be visualized from the original spatial composition, the high-quality ornamentation, and the individual traces of modifications. To ensure the performance of the building, seismic retrofit and services equipment were introduced with awareness of the new normal. The new furniture, lighting, materials, and colors provide a minimal design, with the intention of a light accent. New value is created by the unexpected harmony produced by these elements, so it is hoped that Hori Building will be selected by the shared workers that generate innovation and that it will be preserved for the future.
