New timber members that were added, such as tie beams, joinery, floors, etc., were finished with clear paint, with the aim of achieving an external appearance that embraced its history and genuinely showed the old and new timber surfaces. Modern design was adopted for the handrail detailing and internal lighting scheme, thereby linking past and present. The aim was to provide a building with unchanging value throughout the ages, that embodies the original methods of traditional timber construction that continue to be used, while incorporating new changes in each age.(Keisuke Matsunami, Yoko Kimata)26新しい変化を重ねる伝統木造建築Traditional Timber Building Incorporating Many New ChangesBuilding area: 57.19m2Total floor area: 57.19m2Construction: WoodNumber of stories: 1 floor above groundConstruction term: January 2020 to August 2020三嶋大社舞殿Mishima Taishya buden
