14架構を表出する「素型」の建築Form and function: framework as a component of designThis facility is used for the operation and maintenance of building construction machinery.We considered the work processes carefully in the entire facility. As a result, productivity has been greatly enhanced by consolidating the main functions and also through the installation of an overhead crane for both the inside and outside of the semi-enclosed machine shop. During construction of a building one often sees bare steel framework structures rising impressively above the earth. We hoped that the completed building would offer this kind of visual impact. The steel skeleton was used in the exterior design to add to its aesthetic appeal.
