This is a plan for a small urban office. To avoid earthquake and tsunami damage, the building is built on four pillars with a 17.5 meter one span frame, and seismic isolators at the tops of the pillars. The floor and ceiling slabs are cylindrical and beamless for openness and flexibility. Natural light illuminates the interior space, reflected advantageously along the curve of the ceiling slab surface. We placed all equipment under the floor, to improve maintenance and avoid the risk of things falling during earthquakes.
