The aim was to incorporate and utilize the rich nature of the Musashino Plateau, which includes the nearby Inokashira Park, Jindaiji Temple, the Senkawa River waterside, etc. Taking the flow line from the existing campus and the vista towards the forest on the north side of the site as an axis, a large opening was provided behind the stage to incorporate the scenery. A tree-like cross-arch structure was adopted for the superstructure of the arena, which gently covers the people like a forest with a large-span structure. The aim was to create an arena where the forest can be felt, to nurture the mind, heart, and body of the students.
