NThe International Exhibition Hall is located at the entrance to the Port of Nagoya. The site, which overlooks the sea, used to be a thriving hub for lumber distribution.To reflect this regional character, the concourse is a wooden space made of fire-resistant timber and has a sleek, dynamic shape reminiscent of waves. The undulating concourse welcomes many visitors as it wraps around the 210m x 96m shaped exhibition hall, which is dedicated to exhibitions and events.A "Nigiwai Deck" connecting to Kinjo-Futo Station on the second floor is planned to serve as the nucleus of a pedestrian network connecting the exhibition halls.
