The apertures depict the “harmony” of the group of buildings as well as “change” in the form of the new departments. The spiral-shaped atrium produces maximal connections in a minimal area, and the floor plan positions the classrooms and the commons as equivalent teaching environments. The result is an open and level educational environment that resembles a living room for 800 people.
