This is the Environmental Assessment Standard System for Buildings certified by the Ministry of Construction of China operated since 2006 to protect the global environment, maximize the effective use of global resources, and prevent environmental contamination. It stipulates assessment indices which are equivalent to Japan’s Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency (CASBEE).

The evaluation is done by assessing a total of 83 items including natural ventilation, use of rainwater, noise standards etc. This building was certified for 56 items from among a total of 67 items assessed after omitting 16 irrelevant items, to become the first Japanese company to win the Three Star Award.

Takenaka is making efforts to successfully realize its environmental message, “Connecting People with Nature,” even at its overseas projects, and will continue to construct buildings which are even friendlier to the environment.
