Built on the original site of the head-quarters and factory, museum exhibits introduce visitors to the life of Panasonic founder Konosuke Matsushita, together with his management philosophy. Outdoor space was redesigned to be open and in-viting to the public.This is the rst hotel to be built in Hok-kaido by the Tokyu Stay hotel chain. It caters for overseas tourists and domestic business travelers seeking medium- to long-term stays. The hotel design pro-vides guests with a sense of local Hokkai-do spirit and Scandinavian warmth. The color of the exterior walls matches those of surrounding buildings, while deep lat-tice windows provide a serene look. The lower stories and guest room interiors uti-lize primarily local wood materials, which create a sense of warmth.Okayama Saiseikai Health Checkup Center and Car Park BuildingDesign & Construction: Takenaka Corporation/ Structure: SRC & S, 9 Fl. above, 1 Fl. below ground/ Total Floor Space: 13,738m2/ Completion: 2018This project located in Okayama prefecture was the nal step in reorganizing Okayama Saiseikai General Hospital to enhance convenience, healthcare functions and safety during natural disasters. The former earthquake-resistant ward was rebuilt as a health checkup center, and is situated on the top oors of a self-propelled car park building. The structure features a combi-nation of earthquake-resistant walls and overhanging oors. Its earth-tone exterior offer up a refreshing look that harmonizes with the other buildings of the hospital.
