Dr. Takahashi was visiting researcher at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy 1997-1999; in 2005 she became Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Pharmacog-nosy, Museum of Osaka University, Graduate School of Pharma-ceutical Sciences, Osaka University. Dr. Takahashi has served as advisor at the Kochi Prefectural Makino Botanical Garden since 2013. Her various publications include Morino Tosuke Saikaku Shinsha “Matsuyama-honzo” (“Matsu yama herbal, illustrated by Saikaku Tosuke Morino”) 2014; and Kampo Konjaku Monoga-tari—Shoyaku Kokusanka no Key Technology (“Tales of Kampo in times past—key technology for local production of crude drugs”) 2015.Kozo FukudaBorn 1965, Nara prefecture. Graduated from Setsunan Univer-sity, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and enrolled in the Mas-ters program at Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine. In 2010, he received his Ph.D. in Pharmacognosy from Kindai University; and in 2018, assumed his role as the ninth-genera-tion head of Fukuda Shoten, an herbal wholesaler with a history spanning over 300 years, which is located in Sakurai city, Nara prefecture. He presently engages in the cultivation of medicinal plants and oversees their processing and sales. Dr. Fukuda vol-unteers his time and expertise in providing technical assistance in the cultivation of medicinal plants throughout Japan.Shigeyuki MorishitaBorn 1949, Okayama prefecture. After graduating from Nihon University College of Art, Department of Cinema in 1974, he worked in the U.K. as a freelance photographer, providing im-ages for various Japanese magazines, including Mainichi Graph. His many publications include London no Pub (“Pubs of Lon-don,” 1976), and the Victoria and Albert Museum Japan Style Exhibition Book (1980). Other published works include The Na-tional Trust (1991), and Aichi no Kenchiku to Machinami (“The architectural landscape of Aichi prefecture,” 2005). Shigeyuki Morishita was awarded the ADC Silver Cube prize for a Junko Koshino poster in 1994. He returned to Japan in 1981 and cur-rently provides photographs for corporate magazines.
