As Takenaka Corporation recognizes the importance of personal information and specific personal information (personal identification number, a.k.a. “my number”), we have established the following policy related to such information in order to protect it. We will make this policy thoroughly known to our executives and employees, and we will endeavor to properly protect personal information and specific personal information.

  1. In addition to complying with the "Act on Protection of Personal Information," "Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures," and other related laws, regulations and guidelines, we have prepared provisions related to the protection of personal information and specific personal information based on this Policy, and we are continually working to improve and make these better.
  2. When acquiring personal information and specific personal information, we will specify the purpose of use, and give notice of or make this public. We will handle such information according to the purpose of use, and it will not be used for any purposes other than those that are specified in advance.
  3. We will properly manage personal information and specific personal information, and we will implement safety control measures in order to prevent unauthorized access and loss, destruction, alteration or leakage of such information.
  4. We will properly handle personal information and specific personal information as follows:
    1. Purpose of use

      Personal information acquired through the process of our company's business activities will be used for the purposes of; "providing design, contracting and supervision related to construction work; "real estate development and transactions, and various other services for businesses specified in our articles of incorporation"; "creating and providing of materials, information, etc."; and "sending notifications, information, PR and surveys for research activities."
      In the event of acquiring personal information for any purposes other than stated above, either the purpose of use will be announced in advance, or if after acquisition, we will promptly notify the principal or make public the purpose of use.
      Furthermore, in regard to the specific purpose of use for specific personal information, we will inform the principal when asking to provide specific personal information to our company in order for us to conduct business related to the personal identification number.

    2. Acquisition

      Personal information and specific personal information will be acquired by appropriate means in the course of our business activities.

    3. Outsourcing

      In the event that our business, including the handling of personal information and specific personal information, is outsourced to any third parties, we will properly supervise the party to whom the information is being outsourced.

    4. Providing personal information to third parties

      We will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the principal except in cases where there is a justifiable reason such as when outsourcing part or all of its handling to the extent necessary for our company to achieve its purpose of use or when stipulated by laws and regulations.
      Personal-related information that is expected to be personal data at the destination will not be provided to third parties without prior confirmation that consent of the principal has been obtained except when stipulated by laws and regulations.
      With regard to specific personal information, even when having consent of the principal, we will not provide this to third parties except when stipulated by laws and regulations.

    5. Responding to requests for disclosure, etc.

      With respect to retained personal data, if there is a request from the principal for release, correction, addition, deletion, use stoppage or erasing of data as well as release of any third-party provision records or stopping to provide personal data to third parties (when provision to third parties is being done), we will respond without delay.
      In matters that may cause remarkable detriment to company business or when stipulated by laws or regulations, however, there may be cases where we will refrain from disclosure. Furthermore, there are cases when a fee may be charged upon requests for information.

  6. In the event of any serious matters occurring, our top management will take immediate corrective measures, prevent recurrence, disclose this information promptly and accurately, and report to the Personal Information Protection Commission in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.
