Recruitment Policy

In our recruitment activities, the Takenaka Group will respect the human rights of all applicants, treating everyone with dignity and respect, and we will sincerely commit ourselves to integrity, impartiality, and fairness while conducting the selection process with a high level of transparency so that people can pursue their job search with peace of mind.

Guiding Principles

  1. 1.Respect for Human Rights In recruitment and selection activities, we will give due consideration to and respect the fundamental human rights of all applicants.
  2. 2.Fair Recruitment and Selection We will conduct candidate-centered assessments based on whether applicants possess the aptitude, capabilities, and qualifications required to perform the duties of the position for which they are applying. Additionally, we will not collect or consider personal information unrelated to an applicant’s skills or suitability for the position, such as place of family registration, family occupation, religion, political affiliation, or other similar matters during interviews or any stage of the recruitment process.
  3. 3.Ensuring Transparency
    1. (1)Transparency of Job Information
To prevent mismatches after employment, we will provide applicants with as much accurate and detailed information as possible regarding job responsibilities, expected roles, and career development opportunities. In addition to sharing the fulfillment associated with working in the construction industry, we will also communicate the social responsibilities and challenges facing our industry so that applicants can make informed career decisions with a clear understanding of our work and mission.
    2. (2)Transparency of the Selection Process
While clearly communicating the overall recruitment process in advance, including selection stages and expected timelines, we will prepare an environment where all applicants can confidently express their strengths, aspirations, and potential to the fullest extent.
    3. (3)Sincere Response to Feedback
Regardless of the outcome of the selection process, we will be sure to respond to all applicants with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. While sincerely valuing feedback from applicants regarding the recruitment process, we will continuously strive to improve our hiring practices.
  4. 4.Prevention of Harassment To protect the human rights and dignity of all applicants, we will maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward sexual harassment, power harassment, undue pressure to end job-search activities or accept employment offers (so-called “owa-hara”), and any other form of harassment or conduct that infringes upon the rights of job seekers. If any conduct found to violate this policy is identified, we will investigate the facts and take appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with our work rules and internal regulations.
    1. (1)Authorized Communication Channels
Communications with applicants will be conducted only through company-designated communication channels, including company-issued or designated email addresses, approved online meeting platforms, and company-issued mobile phones. Personal communication channels, such as private email accounts, personal social media accounts, or privately owned mobile phones, will not be used for recruitment-related communications.
    2. (2)Appropriate Meeting Locations and Environments
In-person meetings will be conducted in locations that appropriately protect privacy, such as company facilities, facilities of the applicant’s educational institution, or open public spaces within cafés or similar establishments. We will not engage in conduct such as pressuring applicants to eat or drink, requiring them to attend private one-on-one meetings in closed rooms, or any behavior that may compromise their comfort or dignity. For remote meetings, only company-approved online meeting tools will be used.
  5. 5.Awareness and Education We will provide ongoing education and training to employees involved in recruitment activities regarding this policy and matters related to human rights, harassment prevention, and fair recruitment practices.
  6. 6.Protection of Personal Information Personal information acquired through appropriate means for recruitment purposes will be managed and handled properly and securely in accordance with the Takenaka Group Privacy Policy.
