In September 2025, Takenaka Corporation (President: Masato Sasaki) has registered as a partner of WIPO GREEN. This is an international matching platform for environmental technologies, which is operated by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Organizations and companies that possess advanced, sustainable technologies related to the environment can publish these in the WIPO GREEN database to facilitate matching with other organizations and companies that are seeking those technologies.

Background

As an international framework aimed at connecting technologies and intellectual property, which contribute to resolving environmental problems, with global needs, WIPO GREEN promotes environmentally friendly innovation and technology transfer toward the realization of a sustainable society. Takenaka aims to contribute to resolving environmental problems both in Japan and globally by utilizing the environmental technologies and intellectual property that we have cultivated up to now.

For this registration, we plan to list the following technologies in the WIPO GREEN database:

  1. Moen Wood: Fire-resistant laminated timber that enables large-scale and high-rise wooden construction

  2. Meta Farm: A recycling system that generates biogas from food waste within buildings and sites to reduce waste disposal volume
